Full-Time Therapist

The Therapist provides assessment, diagnosis, counseling, and treatment to individuals in a trauma informed approach while working with Healing Hearts & Families and their families. The Therapist will provide Drug and Alcohol assessments, diagnosis, counseling, and treatment to those needing these specific services.  Their duties include meeting with clients to help identify and treat emotional and psychological problems, provide exercises and tools to help break negative patterns of thinking and assist patients in communicating more effectively. Interacts with other referral agencies and collaborates in developing the best approach to those who in therapy.

The Therapist shall have a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work or Community Counseling required.  Licensure for LSCW or MSW; LMHP or PLMHP and LADC or Provisional LADC is required.

 

Full Time Diversion Specialist

This position works directly with youth to organize, implement, and coordinate the juvenile pretrial diversion program primarily for Dawson and Gosper counties, but may also assist with Blaine, Custer, Dawson, Gosper, Greeley, Hooker, Logan, Loup, McPherson, Thomas, and Valley Counties. The diversion program provides services to eligible juvenile offenders prior to adjudication.  The goal is to prevent juvenile offenders from further involvement in the juvenile justice system and criminal activity.
